Better Access

What is Better Access?

Patients across Richmondshire can access routine appointments during evenings and weekends with our Better Access services.

Better Access Service clinics consist of multi-skilled team including GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Practice and Treatment Room Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and Phlebotomists. Services offered via Better Access include: GP Appointments, ANP Appointments, Long Term Condition reviews, Dressing Changes, Cervical Screening.

How to book

Patients interested in Better Access appointments should speak to their GP practice reception team and find out which appointments are available. Please note that patients may not necessarily be consulted by a staff member from their own GP practice and must consent for their Patient Care Record to be shared out from their practice with the consulting clinician.
